ORGANIC ORGANZA WEDDING PILLOW

The invitation was a white card with a script font - simple, but lovely. Looking closer, we noticed that the font was pretty funky…and there were lots of cool accents - a packet of wildflower seeds, naturally dyed ribbon, earth tones with a bright coral/pink…our pillow concept was forming….but to make sure we were on the right track, we asked for a picture of the bride’s wedding dress….YUP! an unusual patchwork organza overcoat.

The elements we choose for our projects are thoughtful and intentional - color, texture, material all interplay. We auditioned at least 10 different grey ribbons/trim to find just the right one. The flowy outside trim reminds us of the bride’s hairstyle - organic, free and loose, breezy. The bridal coat inspired the back - striped organza fabric draped over fabric printed with gradient of brown/grey to coral/pink -look closely and you will see how the stripes change color from the top to the bottom of the pillow.

We source interesting textured fabrics and trims, and mix them with ones we print to get just the right look. This pillow is not only pretty - it has meaningful details chosen specifically for this recipient.
